Reassigning Mouse Buttons
Custom button layouts can improve comfort or accessibility. Learn how to swap the main click and remap additional buttons using popular utilities.
Windows
- Open Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Mouse and choose which button is primary.
- For other buttons, install X-Mouse Button Control and assign actions per application.
macOS
- Open System Settings → Mouse and enable Secondary click on the right or left side.
- Use USB Overdrive or BetterTouchTool to remap extra buttons or create gestures.
Linux
- In your desktop environment's mouse settings, select the primary button.
- Install Input Remapper to map additional buttons to keys or commands.
