Butterfly clicking is a technique where you use two fingers (usually index and middle) to alternately click the mouse button. This allows for much higher clicks per second (CPS) than standard clicking. Use this test to practice your rhythm and speed.
1. Grip: Place your hand over the mouse. You need to be able to lift both your index and middle fingers above the left mouse button.
2. Position: Place both fingers on the left mouse button.
3. The Motion: Alternate tapping the button with your index and middle fingers. It's like drumming your fingers on a table.
4. Practice: Start slow to get the rhythm right. The goal is to have one finger going down while the other is coming up.
Butterfly clicking is popular in games like Minecraft PvP because it allows players to achieve 15-25 CPS, which is significantly higher than the 6-10 CPS of normal clicking. High CPS can reduce knockback and increase hit registration in certain game mechanics.
