In Minecraft PvP (especially classic 1.8 PvP), click speed can give you a notable advantage – higher CPS means reduced knockback and more consistent hits on your opponent. Techniques like jitter clicking, butterfly clicking, and drag clicking are commonly used by PvPers to boost CPS. But to fully leverage them, you’ll need a mouse that can keep up. The ideal mouse for Minecraft CPS is one that can register clicks very quickly (low debounce or double-click friendly), has durable switches for all that abuse, and is comfortable enough to maintain aim while spamming clicks.
This is often regarded as the holy grail for achieving outrageous CPS. As mentioned earlier, the Bloody A70 is built specifically to enable double clicks and drag clicks easily. Its software even intentionally allows registering multiple inputs per button press. With drag clicking, skilled users can hit 50+ CPS or even higher on the A70 – indeed, it’s known to reach 60–100 CPS in the right hands. In Minecraft modes like bridging or sumo duels, this mouse can give an insane clicking advantage. The downside is its overall quality is just average and the sensor isn’t top-tier. Also, be cautious on servers like Hypixel which may not appreciate 60 CPS bursts. But if pure CPS is your goal, the A70 is a legend for a reason.
Roccat’s Kone mice are excellent all-around gaming mice that also happen to be fantastic for high CPS clicking. They use high-quality switches and allow dragging/butterfly clicking without too much fuss. The Kone Pro (air) and newer Kone XP both feature a slightly textured matte button surface and a low debounce firmware, meaning they can register rapid clicks reliably (many users get 20+ CPS butterfly on Roccat mice). They’re also just great mice in general: comfortable ergonomic shape, strong sensor (up to 19K DPI), and in the Kone XP’s case, lots of extra buttons for other games. If you want a balanced mouse that’s PvP-capable, the Roccat Kone series is a top pick.
Another favorite in the Minecraft community, the Model O (and the small Model O-) is popular for butterfly clicking and drag clicking. Glorious even lets you set debounce to 0ms in software, effectively unlocking the mouse’s full CPS potential for techniques. With a Model O, hitting 20+ CPS butterfly is very attainable, and moderate drag clicking can net high CPS as well (just beware that 0ms debounce can lead to unwanted double clicks in normal use). At only ~67g with a smooth glide, the Model O also helps you aim and react quickly in PvP fights. It’s reasonably priced and widely available, making it a go-to recommendation for Minecraft.
