Laggy pointers, stuttering, and 'floating' cursors are rarely caused by the mouse itself. In 2026, the #1 enemy of performance is **Signal Noise**. Here is how to fight it.
USB 3.0 (Blue) ports emit broad-spectrum radio noise in the 2.4GHz range when active. If you plug your mouse receiver directly next to a USB 3.0 drive or cable, the noise will drown out the mouse signal.
The Fix: Always use the USB Extender cable included with your mouse. Place the receiver on your desk, at least 20cm away from the PC tower and any USB 3.0 hubs.
Your Wi-Fi router also blasts data on 2.4GHz. If it uses a 'wide' channel (40MHz), it eats up the entire frequency spectrum, leaving no room for your mouse to communicate.
The Fix: Log into your router settings and force the 2.4GHz band to use 20MHz width. This leaves 'gaps' for your mouse to hop into.
