A specific multi-key combination does not register

Test keyboard matrix rollover and ghost blocking when individual keys work but one gaming chord fails.

Quick diagnosis

If every key works alone but one exact chord consistently drops a key in a rollover tester, the keyboard matrix may not support that combination.

Test every key alone
Confirm each member of the chord registers reliably.

Run the rollover test
Hold the chord in several orders and note which key disappears.

Compare another connection mode
If supported, compare wired and wireless behavior without changing the chord.

Compare another keyboard
Use the same Windows session and application.

Choose a combination the matrix registers or rebind the game action.

For required simultaneous inputs, select hardware whose tested matrix supports the chord.

• Restore the original application binding if the replacement chord conflicts elsewhere.

• If a formerly supported chord began failing and individual keys are intermittent, diagnose switches, sockets, or firmware instead.

Keys share a row-and-column matrix. Some combinations are blocked to prevent ambiguous ghost key reports.
