Find a bent switch pin, incompatible switch, poor socket contact, or lifted hot-swap socket after replacing a key switch.
If a known-good switch fails only in one socket, inspect the socket/PCB; if the failure follows the switch, its pins or contacts are responsible.
Check both metal pins under good light and straighten only a slightly bent pin without repeated flexing.
Install a compatible working switch into the affected socket while supporting the board as the manual directs.
A reciprocal swap shows whether the fault follows the switch or stays with the socket.
If the fault stays, stop inserting switches and inspect for a pushed or lifted socket.
